Dashboard UX Design - Noroff Module Assignment 2021

For this module assignment, we were tasked with designing a mid-fidelity wireframe of a dashboard for a restaurant reservation management platform.

"Imagine that this management platform dashboard is going into a design system that is already created for an existing restaurant chain called Nando’s. In this scenario, your dashboard will be for a single Nando’s branch/ ‘store’."

The requirements were the following:

Your mid-fidelity dashboard design should have the following elements:
 - A heading area with the logo
 - Links to the following (these pages do not need to be designed):
 - Help
 - About
 - Language settings
 - Name of user (a link from which they can log out)

Other links to the rest of the dashboard (these pages do not need to be designed):
 - Staff management
 - Stock management
 - Revenue
 - Deliveries

The dashboard should show the following for a selectable time frame (week, month or year):
 - Line chart: Overall restaurant capacity over time (number of guests)
 - Stacked bar chart: Number of restaurant bookings over time compared to the number of    walk-ins over the same time frames
 - Pie or doughnut chart: Total dinner meal types broken down into segments (fish, beef, chicken, vegetarian)
 - Table showing:
 a) reservation references
 b) number of guests per booking reference
 c) reason for each reservation (e.g., birthday, meet up, Christmas party etc.)
 d) reservation time of day (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
 e) name of the staff member who made the reservation
 f) amount paid by reservation party
 g) payment type (cash or card)
